SH (Bert) Ford purchased 51 acres along the meeting of the Pitt and Fraser Rivers. His son, Ralph Eugene Ford had his residence near the end of Windsor Road. After Sherman's death, his widow and Ralph's mother, Martha Louise (Allen) Ford, also kept a residence there. Along the beaches there, were found indigenous peoples' arrowheads, stone utensils etc. During the 1948 flood, the army came in and were sandbagging the dykes. Thankfully it worked and the homes were saved.<\/p>\r\n
