Archives

You may know that we are officially the Pitt Meadows Museum and Archives. That means that we keep an archive of fonds and collect photos, documents, maps and other paper or digital information. Our Archive possesses a small reference library and files with newspaper clippings, stories, and other photocopied/scanned materials for research or genealogical purposes.

Archive Hours

Currently, due to Covid-19, the Archives are only by appointment.

If you wish to see what is in our archival holdings at this time, please email the museum with your request and what you are looking for. We can then set up a time for you to view the material once we have pulled it out of our archives.

Documents

The Archives holds original documents such as government documents, city council minutes, school board and PAC materials, letters and much more.

Maps and Plans

The Pitt Meadows Museum possesses over 70 original maps and plans that stretch over 4 metres. Please contact us if you need further information.

Photos

The Pitt Meadows Museum stores over 3000 photographs that reflect the unique history of the municipality of Pitt Meadows.

Please contact us if you need further information or you would like to schedule research time at 604-465-4322 or at pittmeadowsmuseum@telus.net
