Donating Artifacts and Archival Materials

· Please call the Museum or email the museum and make an appointment to discuss a possible donation as items left on the buildings' doorsteps may be disposed of.

· For those who would like to contribute their family's photos but are not yet ready to part with these keepsakes, we will scan them and return the originals or vice versa and provide the donor with a high-resolution digital copy.
 
· We do not purchase items for our collection. 

For us to accept the item into our collection it must have significant local context including

· items which can be demonstrated to have been used and/or created in the geographical area known as Pitt Meadows

· items collected, purchased, or created by long-term residents of Pitt Meadows which provide insight into the persons everyday lives, and economic activities of the area's past

Gifts in Kind and Cash

The Museum welcomes gifts of goods and services, as well as cash donations. These donations, unless otherwise specified, are used for the general operations of the Museum.


Tax receipts for Donations

The Museum Society is a registered charity and can write tax receipts for cash donations over $10.00, and for pre-appraised in-kind donations.

 

No individual representing the Pitt Meadows Museum and Heritage Society will solicite donations without the written consent of the Board of Directors or the Curator of the Museum.
