School Tours

Teachers, Homeschool groups, and anyone who wants an elementary level tours can book a school tour. These tours focus on the history of the General Store building. The tour includes a scavenger hunt, learning with our hands on items, and getting to enjoy our phonograph playing some music.

Optional butter making add-on: If groups wish you can add on butter making for a small additional fee ($10 flat rate). Groups will get a small lesson on butter making in Pitt Meadows and then will make butter as a group. At the end of the tour, you will sample the butter that you made during your visit. 

Optional: We can adjust the tour a bit to accomodate the interests of your group. If you wish to visit the Hoffmann Site or have a discussion about the exterior farm equipment, please let the staff booking your tour know (this is not available during December). This will increase the time to do the tour.

This tour runs about one hour. The cost of the tour is $2.00 per student. 

Regular Tours

Anyone wishing to have a tour of the Museum can contact us in order to arrange an appropriate tour. We can run our school tour program for younger groups. For older groups we can have a presentation that suits your particular interest about Pitt Meadows and then a small tour of the General Store Site and/or Hoffmann and Son Shop. 

This tour runs for about one hour to an hour and a half. The cost of this tour is $2.00 per participant.

Victorian Christmas Tours

During the winter time we host our Victorian Christmas tours. During the month of December this is the only type of tour that we offer. It includes butter making, illumination, a Victorian Christmas Scavenger Hunt, and Candle Rolling. This is our most popular tour so it is important to book early.

This tour runs for an hour and a half. The cost of this tour in 2025 is $5.00 per participant.
