Sherman H. (Bert's) Ford's residence and farm consisted of virtually all of the Pitt Meadows Airport. He gradually sold off acreage for individual's farms. He kept a yacht at Fordson Landing dock, on the Fraser River just West of Baynes Road, for travelling up the coast to Prince Rupert. He had many timber and mining claims along this route, including islands and on Vancouver Island.<\/p>\r\n
