The Pitt Meadows Lions Club was chartered on May 7th, 1951, after an organization meeting was held on April 5th, 1951 with 18 charter members present and with the sponsorship of Maple Ridge Lions. The first meeting was held at the Wild Duck Inn. In 1956, at the instigation of Lion Davie Jones, the society was incorporated and the Den was built on its current site on Harris Road. The building was built utilizing material from the old schoolhouse, in 1975 the Den was expanded and in 1998 was renovated. The Lions Den has helped with countless events, organizations, and even the Museum!
