Hoffmann Site
Explore the 1936 Machine shop celebrating 25 years open to the public as a Museum! Our wonderful engine crew will have their water wheel that the Alouette Mens Shed helped us build ready to run. There will also be a fun little trivia game for anyone who wants to prove how much they know about the site!
General Store Site
Our lovely old General Store and Post Office that is now home to the Museum will be on display in all her finery! Visit us to explore the exhibits, play with the hands on items, and learn something new! There will be a few lawn games, scavenger hunts with prizes, and a fun little bug catching games (available while there are still bugs to catch!).
We will also have butter making demonstrations starting every hour (12 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5) where you can try fresh butter after its made, and ice cream churning demonstrations happening at 12:30 | 2:30 | 4:30 where you can try a sweet treat when its done! (Please note: the cream takes about 15-20 minutes to make butter, and it takes 45-60 minutes to make ice cream!).
We are extremely excited to welcome the community into our museums to celebrate with us and spread the love of our community and its vast history.
We acknowledge with respect and gratitude that the City of Pitt Meadows and the Pitt Meadows Museum and Archives are located on the traditional, unceded territory of q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie) First Nation who have been stewards of this land since time immemorial.
