British Columbia celebrates Heritage Week during the third week of February every year. This year’s theme is “Bringing the Past into the Future” and Heritage Week runs February 17th to the 23rd.

To celebrate Heritage Week here in Pitt Meadows, the Pitt Meadows Museum is putting on a Heritage Week Walking Tour! This year’s topic “Part 2: Harris Road South to Hammond”. Last year for Heritage Week we did a walking tour of the Northern half of Harris Road.

Featured on our tour this year are: The Community Church, the Jolly Coachman, Ford Road, the Library, City Hall, Cenotaph, Pitt Meadows Elementary, Mitchell Farm, Hammond Brothers, and the No. 1 School Site! Come and learn the history of Pitt Meadows during our tour. Learn something odd, fascinating and new about Pitt Meadows.

Tour Date: February 23rd, 2020 running from 2-4 PM! Meet at the Museum (General Store 12294 Harris Road) for 2 PM.

The tour will be a guided slideshow in the museum, with beverages and snacks to enjoy!
