History of the Fujimoto Family

 
Hidehiko and Momi were born in Japan. By the time Kunihide was born in 1916 they were living in Canada. The Fujimoto family owned a strawberry farm in Pitt Meadows. When the war broke out, they were uprooted to Letelier, MB. The family worked on a sugar beet farm there.

Hidehiko Fujimoto was born on February 8th, 1879, he passed away in 1954 in Winnipeg.

Momi Fujimoto (Nee: Kikugawa) was born on May 22nd, 1890, she passed away on June 28th 1963 (?).

Kunihide Fujimoto was born on March 11th, 1916, he passed away on January 15th 1945 in Dryden, ON. He was buried in Brookside Cemetary in Winnipeg, MB.

Chiye (Cathy) Yanoshita (Nee: Fujimoto) was born on May 4th, 1920, in Pitt Meadows, she passed away on February 3rd 2021. In 1946, she married Tatsuo Yanoshita and the couple moved to Ontario by 1954. The couple had two children Diane and Ed.

Susumu Fujimoto was born on November 13th 1923, he passed away on September 19th 1992.

Miye Fujimoto was born on May 24th 1928.
