History of the Katsumoto Family
Juichi and Sato were born in Yamagushi ken, Japan. Juichi came over in 1928 with Sato following in 1933. They were married before 1928. According to the 1931 Canadian Census, Juiichi was living in Mission, he purchased property in Pitt Meadows that same year. By 1933, he was living in Pitt Meadows where Sato joined him. The family was forcibly uprooted from Pitt Meadows in 1942.
