The Holidays,

The Holidays

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but our Christmas activies are so delightful!

Drop on in this holiday season! From November 24th we start our Holiday Festivities at the Museum!

Discover our Christmas themed look and find, make a popcorn string for our Christmas tree, or decorate our pomander! All this Holiday fun occurs during our regular winter open hours (Wednesday and Thursday 11-4 PM, and Sunday 1-4 PM).

The Holiday Line-Up!

November 24th - Museum Sunday (Deck the Halls)

Come and Kick off the Holidays at the Museum and help decorate the Museum! Trim the tree, hang the mistletoe, make popcorn strings, tons of festive fun is waiting to begin here! 2-4 PM!

December 1st - Museum Sunday (Christmas Tree Craft)

Ready to decorate and make some small Christmas trees? Decorate a little pinecone christmas tree, or make your own festive fabric one from 2-4 PM!

December 6th - Christmas in Pitt Meadows @ Family Recreation Centre (12027 Harris Road) 5:00 - 8:00 PM

The Cities kick off to the Holiday Season! There will be Santa and Mrs. Claus, treats for everyone, and of course fun festive entertainment. The Museum will be bringing a holiday themed craft and a little informative information about the History of Christmas and the holiday. For more information visit the cities website.

Don't forget to bring your non-perishable food item for the Friends in Need Food Bank! (The donation box will be set up in the lobby of the Recreation Hall from December 2nd if you are unable to attend)

December 8th - Annual Volunteer and Member Tea

A special private afternoon for the Volunteers and Members of the Pitt Meadows Museum and Archives! Should you wish to attend you can take up a membership right up until December 8th for $10 and support your local museum (and also have some festive treats and drinks with us)!

December 15th - Museum Sunday (Gingerbread Craft)

We're bringing a festive themed Gingerbread Craft to Museum Sunday. Sorry but you can't eat these guys, they're going to be decorations for your tree! Between 2-4 PM, come and make a gingerbread ornament. There will be tons of shapes to choose from, so let your imagination run wild.

December 16th - CP Holiday Train @ 8:55 PM

As always we will open our doors to the Holiday Train! This year the train rolls in at 8:55 PM with the performance starting at 9:05 - 9:35 PM with special guest Terri Clark. We will have a small Holiday themed look and find, and a small hands on activity to keep you busy while you wait!

Harris Road is closed from 8:00 - 10:00 PM, so plan accordingly!

Don't forget that this event collects food bank donations as well! Bring your non-perishable item!

December 22nd - Museum Sunday (Christmas Leftovers)

Assuming we haven't started Hibernating early (check our facebook for updates),we will be pulling out all our little leftovers and crafts from this month! Come by to see what we have to offer!

We are also open for school tours which include seasonal crafts like butter making, candle rolling and illumination.

Make sure to book your school tour early, as this is our busiest season.

Happy Holidays from all of us at the Pitt Meadows Museum and Archives! Thank you for a great 2019 and all of your support!
